Raymond Nkannebe is a Senior Associate in the Firm’s Insolvency and Dispute Resolution Department. Before joining Ken Ahia & Associates, he worked in leading law practices where he acquired cognate experience in various areas of law such as election petitions, matrimonial petitions, arbitration, labour law, and general corporate-commercial litigation.
He has advised and represented leading local and multinational corporations in complex transactions and litigations respectively and has featured in some of the most contested election petition cases. Raymond is a prolific writer and public policy commentator and has published several articles on various areas of law as well as case commentaries on groundbreaking decisions of the Supreme Court of Nigeria both in local newspapers and peer-reviewed journals. He is currently a Columnist for a leading online newspaper where he constantly shares incisive commentary on topical issues in the legal cum sociopolitical sphere.
Raymond is an active and dutiful member of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) where he has served in various capacities. He was the Coordinator of the Session on ‘Consequences of Undermining the Judiciary in A Democracy’ at the 62nd Annual General Conference of the NBA in Lagos, he is still a member of the NBA Editorial Board and Secretary of the Committee.
He is also a Founding Member of Energy Related Arbitration Practitioners (ENERAP) and the Program Coordinator, Global Sustainable Youth Forum (GSYF) – a Non-Governmental Organization committed to the actualization of Sustainable Development Goals.
